"this product dries fast so you have to work quick which is great and its strong and 100 percent waterproof hey i wont have to seal anything again for another 50 years sounds good to me and you cant even see it its invisible"

       "I must say, this stuff is amazing. It dries very quickly and has a very nice feel and look. The smell during application wasn't as bad as I figured it'd be, and it was gone within minutes (it was very weak). It feels completely dry about 24 hours later, although the surface felt dry within about 30 minutes (but it was still easy to rub off with the soft part of your finger; obviously because the adhesion hadn't completely dried).Caulking can be extremely fun, but if you're new, do your research, get a good caulking gun, and absorb all you can before starting your project. This product will not let you down, though!"

       "My application or need was for food-contact safe (aka "pure") silicone. This fits the bill same as the more expensive "aquarium" silicone. Remember, you want additive free silicone for a food application.. you shouldn't use anything that promises to be mold-free (as that indicates presence of some non-foodsafe fungicide additive)What I needed to do was seal up the rim area of a "vittles vault" food container, which I use for liquids (homebrewed beer fermentation). Around the inside of the lid area, there are some crevices. The beer does not normally come into contact with this (siphon in, siphon out), but when I would dump out the "trub" solids during post-use cleaning, bits of trub would get stuck in those crevices, lengthening my cleanup effort.I am not sure I would use this anywhere that the beer would remain in constant contact (but doing so may be OK), but for above the "waterline" sealing this is great.As for other reviews of this item, read carefully the product description to see if it matches. Mine was clear silicone, which matches the product description. Another reviewer noted their silicone was black in color. Amazon sometimes recycles existing reviews onto similar products. The item I received was the "Dap 08641 Dow Corning Clear Silicone Sealant 10.1-Ounce"."

       "This may be a fine product, but I am responding to the earlier comment that it is aquarium safe. "sealants that have anti-mildew agents are aquarium safe. These agents kill important bacteria necessary to the health of fresh and saltwater aquariums. NOT FOR USE WITH AQUARIUMS!!"

       "I used this because I live in a building that despite fumigation and regular exterminator visit has bugs. I wanted to create a barrier wherever I could find cracks and had previously seen bugs. I thought in addition to the exterminator and every 4 month fumigation that would really help. The bugs were coming up in a gap between the tile and tub in the bathroom and in between the kitchen wall and tile along the kitchen. I applied the product in the bathroom after applying the ceramic sealant first. It dried quickly and did not have a harsh smell. In the kitchen I applied it directly to the area. It does attract debris because it is rubbery but the good news is that I can mop over it and it gets clean without removing the product off the area. It is also easy to remove from your hands or to clean away for neatness where you don't want it. I also used this to seal up a window in the building hallway where alot of people where hanging out and making into a smoking area and keeping me up at night (don't tell my apt). I put the seal on at 1am and it was dry by morning and"one has been able to open that window since even after it rained for 2 weeks straight."

       "Works well,there is a strong smell to it,so I recommend good ventilation,but other than that,no worries or complaints,I haven't noticed a broken seal anywhere that i've applied it,i've used it on my porch and the elements haven't seemed to affect it either."
